Each year, The Salvation Army provides over 10 million nights of shelter to those in need.

The Way Out Shelter

About 15% of the homeless population in the U.S. is comprised of 'chronically homeless' individuals.

This population is especially vulnerable during the hottest and coldest months of the year.

Find a Location

As long as there's The Salvation Army, there's no such thing as 'no place to go.'

The Way Out Shelter at 55 W. Mission, Spokane offers healthy sheltering for those adult men and women experiencing homelessness. In addition to housing, food, and overnight lodging, The Salvation Army supplements those services with emotional and spiritual support.

The Way Out Shelter provides shelter for up to 102 guests each night.

  • Line up for Shelter services begins at 2:30pm.
  • Check-in begins at 3:00pm as long as there are beds available beginning on Monday, December 14th, 2020.
  • Clients in the neighborhood (within 1 to 2 blocks) of the way out shelter, cannot loiter until check-in time.  They will be criminally trespassed if they do so.
